I purchased my Minelab used from a buddy, I was swinging a DFX. I paid alot of $ for the DFX, but it just could not cut the mustard. No matter how I tweaked it, it just could not locate dime-sized coins past 6-7". I bought the Minelab and went to a 100-y.o. ballfield that I thought I had cleaned out with the DFX. Unbelievable. I dug an additional 15 silver coins, 30-40 more old wheats, 10 or so IH's, and many of these coins were at depths of about 4-5", although the Exp II really shined on those Barbers and mercs that were hiding at 9-10". I won't recommend Minelab because I really don't need the competition, LOL!
