The Bounty Hunter Challenger is more for people just beginning to metal detect. It is a great first machine. It isn't expensive, I bought it only for $130. Although there aren't many settings, it does a great job finding things. You can turn the sensitivity and the disc./notch levels up or down. There is a two-tone discrimination mode. The 7" coil is totally waterproof. There is also a headphone jack and low battery indicator. You can adjust the length and it is very easy to travel with. It runs on two 9V batteries. I really like this metal detector, although I think it is time for me to upgrade because I know metal detecting is for me and I need a machine that has better depth. It has found some GREAT stuff and is very durable.

Yeah, I want to get a Whites CoinMaster, I think that would be the perfect machine for me.

Yeah, I want to get a Whites CoinMaster, I think that would be the perfect machine for me. Whites has added some new thing to the coinmaster, three years ago when i bought a prizm 2, the coinmaster was the basic detector with not many features. Now they have the Pro. From what i heard its a great detector.! Go for it man!

When it comes to detectors I believe that each and every one has it's place with the user. Like for example the Tesoro is said to be the best audio one out there. But for me sounds and tones just didn't get it by it's self when I was researching. (I almost got the silver max) The Fisher F5 is the best for me because that's the one I have hooked onto and if I ever upgrade it will probably be a Fisher just cause that's the machine that I have become comfortable with. So It's Kinda like fishing. You have a big tackle box of lures, but there is always one that you Tye on because you know how to work it.
